Fountains Abbey

“Photographs open doors into the past, but they also allow a look into the future.”

Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in North Yorkshire, England. It features the well-preserved ruins of Fountains Abbey, one of the largest Cistercian monasteries in the country, alongside the beautiful 18th-century water gardens of Studley Royal. The site combines history, architecture, and stunning landscapes. It lies within a 30 minute car journey from my home and is a place my wife and I often visit, sometimes without a camera!
